R@venHack in SpatialChat — a team in the High Security Zone cracking the codes together

R@venHack · Cybersecurity

Stop the cyberattack
together.

A cybersecurity escape game in which your team learns about safe digital behaviour by playing — in a standard and an XL version.

What it is

A cybersecurity escape game.

In R@venHack your team lands in the middle of a digital crisis full of data leaks, phishing and hidden clues. Together you follow the clues and stop the attack. It isn't a lesson you sit through but an experience you live through — and that's exactly why what safe digital behaviour means stays with you.

Who it's for

Team building with something to learn.

For organisations that want to take awareness of digital safety further than a compulsory e-learning module. R@venHack works as team building and as a natural starting point for wider learning about cybersecurity — you learn together, and the conversation afterwards carries on by itself.

How it works

From crisis to breakthrough, together as a team.

R@venHack runs through SpatialChat and is hosted by the Meeting Masters. You open a link, walk in and the crisis begins — in the standard version and the XL version alike.

Your team lands in the middle of an attack

Data leaks, phishing and hidden clues: something is badly wrong and the clock is ticking. Together you have to unravel the digital crisis.

Together you look for the keys

Through a series of puzzles and clues you work out how the attack fits together. Talking it through, piecing it together and pushing on — as a team.

You stop the attack

At the right moment everything falls into place and you push the attack back. And along the way you have learned how to prevent this for real.

Two versions

Choose the R@venHack that suits your team.

R@venHack comes in two flavours: a compact, energetic standard version and a longer XL version with more depth. In both you stop the attack together — the difference is in the time, the scale and how far you go into the security themes.

The classic

R@venHack — standard version

The standard R@venHack: compact, energetic and straight to the point.

In around 60 minutes your team lands in the middle of a cyberattack and works together under time pressure to stop it. The focus is on the key awareness lessons — recognising phishing, containing a data leak and safe digital behaviour — wrapped in a tight, absorbing escape. Ideal as energetic team building or as a striking opening to a team day or a security week.

  • ± 60 minutes, tight and energetic
  • Focused on the core awareness lessons
  • Perfect for one team or a compact group
  • A strong opener for a team day or security week
More depth

R@venHack XL — extended version

Longer, richer and with room for larger groups.

The XL version takes more time and goes a step further. Alongside the core it adds extra scenarios and security themes, with more puzzles, more plot turns and a fuller debrief. Because the game can be played by several teams at once, this variant suits larger groups and organisations that genuinely want cybersecurity awareness to land, while putting the way people work together to the test.

  • A longer session that goes deeper
  • Extra scenarios and security themes
  • Suits larger groups, several teams at once
  • A fuller debrief and more knowledge shared

In practice

Further than the phishing test.

A data leak. A suspicious email. And the same name, again and again: R@ven.

Teams follow a hacker's trail through a virtual office: cracking passwords, decoding messages, making calls while the clock ticks. Cybersecurity then stops being something you merely hear about.

R@venHack takes 60 minutes, or 90 in the XL version, with more room for team building and learning.

Frequently asked questions about R@venHack

What exactly is R@venHack?

R@venHack is a cybersecurity escape game. Your team lands in a digital crisis full of data leaks, phishing and hidden clues and has to stop the attack together. It's an awareness experience: you learn about safe digital behaviour by doing it, rather than by working through an e-learning.

What is the difference between the standard version and the XL version?

The standard version is the compact, energetic R@venHack of around 60 minutes, focused on stopping the attack together and on the key awareness lessons. The XL version runs longer and goes deeper: with extra scenarios, more security themes and a fuller debrief. The XL version also suits larger groups playing in several teams at once, who want to put the way they work together further to the test.

How long does R@venHack take?

The standard version takes around 60 minutes, including a short introduction and debrief. The XL version takes more time — expect a longer session with extra depth and a fuller debrief. Together we look at which variant and which length suit your team and your purpose best.

What group sizes does it suit?

The standard version is ideal for one team or a compact group. The XL version suits larger groups, because it's played by several teams at once and everyone takes an active part. We're glad to help work out the number of participants that fits your group.

What will my team learn from it?

Participants learn to recognise phishing and deception, how to contain a data leak and what safe digital behaviour means in practice. Because they discover it together and under gentle pressure, the lessons stick better than in a compulsory training. It's team building and a natural starting point for wider learning about cybersecurity at once. The XL version leaves extra room to go deeper into the security themes.

Which platform does R@venHack run on?

Both versions run through SpatialChat and are hosted by the Meeting Masters. Participants open a link in the browser and walk straight in — nothing to install. The hosting keeps the game running smoothly and keeps everyone involved.
