Virtual Office
A place where you
run into each other again.
You have plenty of tools. What you're missing is a place to simply be together.
What it is
A workplace that connects.
You can meet and chat, but without the encounters in between, contact turns transactional. The virtual office is a permanent online place where your team runs into each other, works together and is simply around — even when there's nothing on the agenda. Not another tool, but an environment.
Who it's for
For groups who rarely sit together.
Your team is partly at home, partly in the office, sometimes spread across countries and time zones. Hybrid or remote-first, communities and partnerships: cohesion sometimes needs a push. A shared base helps.
What it delivers
A virtual office makes a measurable difference.
Better retention
People who feel seen and connected stay longer. A virtual office brings back the informal contact and the sense of belonging — especially for anyone who often works from home.
Fewer square metres
With an online home base you don't have to keep a physical office at full capacity. Save on space and travel time, and grow flexibly.
More cohesion & effectiveness
Shorter lines, quicker decisions and all your people, knowledge and information in one place. Less lost to coordination, more done.
What it looks like
A virtual office can take many forms. What suits you?
No two offices are the same. What yours becomes depends on what your team needs — from an informal home base to a well-ordered place for knowledge.

Online clubhouse
An informal home base where colleagues run into each other — the digital version of the coffee corner.

Online museum
Knowledge, projects or your organisation's story, laid out clearly to walk through.

Home base for a hybrid team
For teams working partly at home and partly in the office, who rarely see each other all at once.

International hub
One place for people in different countries and time zones, with no travel.

Community space
A permanent meeting place for members, a network or a partnership.

Project or programme space
A shared base where a project or programme group comes together and everything sits in one place.
Three ways in
How far do you want to go?
From a room you simply book to an office you build together alongside a culture programme. You choose your own way in.

Book a meeting room
A different kind of meeting with a small group — without a whole office or a project. Easy to arrange, affordable, and genuinely surprising.

Office + culture programme
The way of working has changed, and the culture hasn't kept up. A new office is the occasion to make collaboration something you can talk about.

The online clubhouse for Olympians worldwide.
MeetingMasters has worked from its own virtual office for years, and has been helping organisations work together online in SpatialChat for more than five.
For the World Olympians Association we built an online clubhouse, for Paris 2024 and for Milan Cortina 2026 alike. Open around the clock, a real place where members from across the world could walk in to share memories and talk further.

Frequently asked questions about a virtual office
What is a virtual office?
A virtual office is a permanent online place where your team is present — even when no meeting is scheduled. You walk in, see who is around and go over to someone, and a conversation just starts. No agenda, no link. It isn't just a place, but a way of running into each other again.
Who is a virtual office for?
For organisations and groups who work partly at home and partly in the office and therefore rarely see each other all at once: hybrid teams, international teams, remote-first companies, communities, local partnerships and project or programme groups looking for a shared base.
Which platform do you build a virtual office on?
We build virtual offices in SpatialChat. There are other options, but we choose SpatialChat because it's easy to step into and can be made and kept as personal as you like — it comes closest to the real interactions of a physical office.
How do I get started — what are the options?
There are three ways. Book a meeting room for a one-off gathering with a small group. Rent a ready-made office and move straight in. Or choose Office + Culture: with our specialists you first have the conversation about working together, and then we build the office in which that comes to life.
What does a virtual office cost?
That depends on how you come in, the size and the fit-out. So we work with a proposal built around your case. On a tour we work out together what fits.
How is it different from Zoom or Teams?
Zoom and Teams are built for scheduled meetings. A virtual office is a continuous place where you're simply present, run into each other and have informal contact — without anyone having to send a link.

Do staff have to install anything?
No. A virtual office in SpatialChat runs in the browser. Participants open a link and walk in — no installation, no account to sort out.
Does it work for international teams and different time zones?
Yes. For international and spread-out teams a virtual office is especially valuable: everyone has the same home base, whatever the country or time zone, and can drop in whenever it suits.
Can we use our own branding?
Yes. We match the fit-out, the backdrops, the colours and the atmosphere to your organisation. It becomes your office, with your identity.
What about privacy and security?
The environment is closed off: only people with access come in, and SpatialChat meets enterprise-grade security and privacy standards. We advise on the access and permissions that suit your organisation.
How quickly can a virtual office go live?
A meeting room or a ready-made office can be quick. An Office + Culture programme takes more preparation. On a tour we sketch a realistic schedule.
Does a virtual office replace our physical office?
It doesn't have to. For many organisations it's an addition that brings back the chance encounters; for others it makes a physical office at full capacity unnecessary. Either is possible — we look at what suits you.
